Gallstones Are More Commmon Than You Think

The majority of gallstones start out as microscopic crystals of cholesterol. The word cholesterol originates from the Greek chole (bile) and stereos (solid). Cholesterol = chole + sterol (solid bile). Small gallstones normally exit the gallbladder. Very few gallstones grow larger then 2mm. Most are expelled while small as sand, although many accumulate. A very effective, non-surgical means of cleansing the bile ducts is a liver and gallbladder flush. There are various "recipes" to follow. Most recommend the ingestion of olive or coconut oil, apple juice, lemon juice and, sometimes, magnesium sulfate (Epsom salts). Colonics are highly recommended during and after the flush to assist in the thorough removal of gallstones.

One of my favorite Liver/Gallstone Flush recipes is, as follows:

  • 3 Tablespoons warm extra virgin coconut oil
  • Quarter glass apple juice
  • Half a lemon
  • Clove of garlic
  • Small piece of fresh ginger

Whiz all the ingredients in a blender. Lemon can be replaced with orange, grapefruit or lime. Drink this mixture every day for several weeks, if you are suffering from gallbladder attacks, allergies, indigestion, constipation, bursitis and other chronic health problems...and get a series of colonics!

Obstruction of the common bile duct is often caused by gallstones:

Passage of gallstones into the common bile duct occurs in approximately 10-15% of patients with gallstones. The incidence is related to the presence of gallstones, which are very common in 10-20% of population. http://www.virtualgastrocentre.com/diseases.asp?did=191
