Alkalize Or Die!

Alkalize Or Die is the dramatic title of an interesting book by Theodore Baroody (see Amazon's description and reviews here). The concept of "alkalizing" the body is becoming a popular notion in alternative medicine.

Russell Jaffe, MD, PhD, is a noted physician, researcher, and lecturer and, with Dr. Baroody, is also an outspoken proponent of keeping the body alkaline. With the typical American diet, there is an excess of acid produced in the body tissues when the food is assimilated. According to many experts, this acidic condition of the body is linked with fatigue, illness and pain. Some are convinced that nearly all illnesses are at least partly related to an acidic condition. The body tissues are meant to work best within a narrow, slightly alkaline range (pH7.35-7.55).

Click here to learn more about Dr. Russell Jaffe. According to Dr. Jaffe, and numerous other researchers and physicians, excess acidity in the system can stem from:

  • Stress
  • Acid-forming diet
  • Toxins (or other metabolites that are toxic)
  • Immune reactions

Alkalizing the body can be accomplished by following a program based on foods that are primarily alkaline forming. Good books on this topic are Alkalize or Die by Theodore Baroody and The pH Miracle by Robert O. Young.

My health minded dentist, Dr. Larry Bowden, speaks often of the significant role played by acid/alkaline balance in the body. Dr. Bowden uses high quality, bio-compatible dental materials. Click here to learn more about Dr. Bowden's dental practice in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

"Jus" is highly alkalizing. "Jus" is a promising new drink, formulated with 23 high antioxidant fruit and herbs. "Jus"makes it easy to increase the body's alkalinity. I am very grateful to drink my daily 1 or 2 ounces of "Jus" because it promotes an increasing sense of well-being and energy. "Jus" is the highest quality, and the best value, of all the antioxidant drinks available on the market.
